James Lloyd, better known as Lil’ Cease, is a 90s hip-hop rapper and Brooklyn legend, best known as a member of Junior M.A.F.I.A. and the close friend and protégé of The Notorious B.I.G.

Cease first hit the scene with his unforgettable verse on the classic “Player’s Anthem” and quickly made a name for himself with his smooth flow on Lil’ Kim’s hit “Crush on You.” In 1999, he dropped his solo debut “The Wonderful World of Cease A Leo”, just two years after Biggie’s passing. The album earned critical acclaim, reaching #26 on the Billboard 200 and #3 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Beyond music, Lil’ Cease has also appeared in several films and TV shows, continuing to represent his story and energy across the entertainment industry. He also founded Hardbody, a fitness and lifestyle brand built to inspire healthier, more disciplined living — ultimately reflecting his commitment to growth and balance both in and outside of music.

Most recently, Cease completed an overseas tour with The Frank White Experience, a live tribute band celebrating the life and music of The Notorious B.I.G., helping keep Biggie’s spirit alive for fans across the world.
